how to: dispose of your nopla bamboo toothbrush.

Unlike plastic toothbrushes, our nopla bamboo toothbrush is mostly biodegradable; the most environmentally friendly option on the market. In this blog we’ll guide you through our suggested methods on how to easily dispose of your old toothbrush, as ethically as possible.

Follow our three easy steps
Step 1
Sanitise and upcycle! Our nopla bamboo toothbrush generally lasts between 2 to 3 months. When we’ve finished with them we can still use the brush for other jobs around the house – it’s the gift that keeps on giving. Firstly, make sure to sanitise the brush and wash it out with hot water to get rid of all the old bacteria. There are countless little tasks around the house and jobs that can be done with your old brush; scrubbing hard surfaces in the kitchen, like the oven and stove, or polishing an old chain on that bike in the hallway – now it’s just down to your imagination!
step 2
If your house is already spotless and you’re skipping Step 1, then let’s get straight down to it and remove those bristles! Unlike the handle of our brushes, the charcoal infused PP bristles are not biodegradable. You can remove the bristles with a pair of good pliers or simply snap off the end of the toothbrush entirely. Then, just pop the bristles into your general waste bin.
step 3
As mentioned above, our nopla bamboo toothbrush handles are 100% biodegradable. We’d suggest composting this part of the toothbrush as you would with old food. You can do this with your usual bio-waste or compost bin. It will biodegrade naturally!
Now you know what to do!
We’d suggest following these steps when your nopla toothbrush is on its last legs. By doing so, we’ll all be working together in the fight for ethical and sustainable living and ultimately, a plastic-free existence. Grab your nopla toothbrush today here.
